Ozone Nucleolysis is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure for the slipped disc as well as disc prolapse that exploits the biochemical properties of a gas mixture of oxygen and ozone. It is also done for the management of pain caused due to herniated discs. It is a safer yet effective alternative to other interventions such as disc surgery.
Effectiveness of Ozone Nucleolysis
- High success rate
- Less invasive
- Fewer chances of recurrences
- Fewer side effects.
Complications & Side Effects
Complications of ozone therapy are very rare. These include post-procedural muscle spasms and burning pain. Some of the common side effects include burning eyes, coughing, nausea, lightheadedness, or a mild headache. However, these side effects are temporary and usually resolve shortly after the treatment.
